WHY ARE ENGLISH BULLDOGS SO EXPENSIVE?The simple answer is they cost so much to raise! So before the puppies are even born mum recieves a specialised diet throughout her pregnancy to ensure both mother and pups get all the nutrition and protein they need to grow strong and healthy. During the birthing process mums can need an emergency c-section (although we encourage natural births or at least labour to start) which can end up in excess of £2000. Once born the puppies do not get left with mum unsupervised due to the mums being very heavy and clumsy and we dont want any puppies under those bottoms! I spend the first 3 weeks with the puppies 24/7 with little to no sleep supporting the puppies with their feeding routines every 2 hours and keeping them warm with 24/7 additional heat source. The pups once old enough then start on solid foods which is a high quality blend of both kibble and raw and require feeding 5 times a day! And boy do they eat you out of house and home!! All this plus the medication they require when they are growing and before they leave for their new homes can become very costly which is why English Bulldogs carry a price to match.

ARE ENGLISH BULLDOGS AGGRSSIVE?Now i cant speak for every bulldog ever but i personally have never come across one! English bulldogs were originally bred for the use of bullbaiting, a sport which has long been banned (thank goodness!!) however this is why they are stocky, strong and solid dogs. However breeders have worked to reduce/remove aggression from these dogs and most have a friendly, patient, but stubborn nature. Bulldogs are recognized as excellent family pets because of their tendency to form strong bonds with children. Generally, Bulldogs are known for getting along well with children, other dogs, and other pets. Bulldogs now are lovers not fighters in my opinion which is why i adore the breed so much.

DO YOU OFFER A PAYMENT PLAN?So we do not offer a payment plan as such, although you can pay off your desired puppy bit by bit leading up to the time they are able to go to their new home. However the full balance is due on the collection date arranged and failure to make the payment will result in the £250 non refunable deposit being held. Please only request purchasing a puppy if you know you can meet the payment requirement.

CAN I COME AND VIEW A PUPPY WITHOUT PURCHASING?OF COURSE! We dont do pressure, we want you and your family to be 100% sure before buying that its the right decision. We want these puppies to have thier new homes for life and pressuring someone could put that want in jeapordy. We are a family home so if you want to come and sit for an hour and have a cup of tea and a chat you are more than welcome as I could talk bulldogs all day!! I also like to get to know you and your situation so i can advise if this is the right choice for you. If you however have been unwell or persons in your home have been unwell we do ask that you are all better before coming to view the puppies. Children are of course welcome to come along but we ask that the children are made aware they cannot enter the puppies whelping area (including hands!) but can have a cuddle with supervision.

WHAT PAPERWORK DO I GET WITH MY PUPPY?Puppies are KC registered and come with the documents you need to transfer into your name, it will also show their KC name, number, HUU clear status and mother and father details. Also microchipping paperwork will be provided and include the date, microchip number and transfer information. You will also be supplied with the vaccination card with the vacination information that you will need to pass to your vet. A copy of the vet report from their 8 week vaccination visit will also be provided.
-
DO YOU SHIP PUPPIES ABROAD?Sorry, we dont ship puppies and will not be in the future. Leaving the litter is a big change for the pup and i believe shipping will cause too much stress for him/her. If you have to travel to collect your puppy, I would suggest overnight stays for the journey home to ensure the puppy can have toilet and food breaks.
-
HOW DO I RESERVE THE PUPPY I WOULD LIKE?We do require a deposit of £250.00 to secure any puppy, this is non refundable unless circumstances require us to pull out of the sale.

I AM INTERESTED IN THE BREED AND WANT TO LEARN MORE?If you are interested in adding a bulldog to the family i would suggest doing your research first. Bulldogs arnt overly hard to look after but they do reuire specialist routines and care to ensure they remain happy and healthy. There are several books ad Facebook groups that give a good indication on what you may be letting yourself in for, but bulldogs have a very individual personality which is why they are so lovable and a saught after breed.
-
DO YOU BREED ANY OTHER BREED OF DOG?Currently we only breed English bulldogs as i adore the breed so much. I am never saying never and our website will be updated accordingly with any additions to the family.
-
DO BULLDOGS HAVE BREATHING PROBLEMS?Bulldogs are known as a Brachycephalic breed, this is a term that describes a short muzzle and flattened face. You have more chance of winning the lottery than findng a bulldog who doesnt snore ir snort! but this doesnt mean they will need an opertation on their throats. i will only ever breed from a bitch who has nice wide nostrils and nice clear breathing, who is able to excercise and play without struggling to breath. Breeding bitches will be put through the Bulldog council health testing programme where they are tested on breathing abiitity.

WHAT IS HUU CLEAR AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?HUU (Hyperuricosuria) clear means they are clear of the HUU mutation. This mutation means that in affected dogs, uric acid doesnt dissolve easily in urince and accumulates causing stones that may require surgery. We test all our breeding bitches are tested for the mutation and only bred with males that are clear, meaning the puppies are hereditarily clear.
